Biography
Carlyn Frittelli Davies is a Consultant in the Natural Resources and Environment practice area. Carlyn’s areas of expertise include, natural resources and environment, ESG, mining, and Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE). With extensive expertise in environmental-related authorisations, appeals, administrative and criminal proceedings, as well as environmental indemnities and warranties, Carlyn provides comprehensive legal support for commercial agreements. Carlyn’s experience includes conducting environmental and mining due diligence investigations, executing mining and prospecting rights, preparing legal registers, handling environmental litigation, liaising with government officials, offering mineral resource regulatory advice, and navigating environmental regulations. Her specialisation includes advising on the regulatory aspects of mine establishment, closure, and rehabilitation, and she has successfully represented clients in industries such as manufacturing, retail, energy, waste management, sustainable fashion, and extended producer responsibility, all affected by complex environmental legislation. Carlyn is a board member of the African Fashion Guild, an advisory member of the Circular Textiles Initiative and on the Sealand Gear Sustainability Committee.
