Biography

A results-oriented Technology Leader with over twenty (25) years of ICT expertise, I bring a wealth of experience in Managing and leading Complex Data Center Operations and Cloud environments. My career is marked by significant achievements in Infrastructure design, Implementation and Optimization with a proven track record of enhancing operational efficiency and resilience.

In my current role as Project Manager at Galaxy Backbone Limited Nigeria, I continue to drive key initiatives and strategic projects. Previously, as the Manager of Data Centre at the same institution, I oversaw the operational support of primary, secondary and containerized Tier IV data centers, ensuring 99.9% service availability. My responsibilities extended to leading a team of 15 across multiple technical support levels, participating in senior management meetings and designing tailored solutions for federal government ministries, departments and agencies.

Prior to joining Galaxy Backbone Limited, my previous engagements include strategic roles at Thomson-Reuters, KILN, ACE Group and Reuters in the United Kingdom where I led initiatives in virtualization, storage solutions, disaster recovery and IT infrastructure transformation. Notably, I have designed and implemented enterprise-grade solutions that address critical gaps, enhance data replication and ensure high availability.

I am a Certified Data Centre operations manager, Infrastructure and Operations Specialist from the International Data Centre Authority in USA. I hold of a BSc in Information Technology Management for Business: Greenwich University, UK; Bachelors in Biochemist from Ondo State University, Ado-Ekiti.  I further hold different professional certifications in Information Technology. I currently hold an Executive MBA with the Quantic School of Business and Technology.

Between 2021 – 2025 , I served on the Board of Directors at Africa Data Centre, where I held the position of Treasurer.

My multilingual proficiency in English, Yoruba and Hausa further enables me to traverse diverse environments effectively.

Spearheaded the virtualization of server environments at Thomson-Reuters, setting a standard adopted across 25 EMEA offices. Successfully decommissioned a 500-device data center for Reuters, ensuring seamless relocation and compliance with ITIL frameworks.

Implemented a scalable SAN infrastructure at ATOS Origin, resolving storage performance issues and enhancing data replication capabilities. With a focus on integrating best practices and driving business process improvements, I am committed to delivering exceptional value and strategic leadership in executive roles within the ICT domain.

An acknowledged thought leader, I regularly hold webinars on LinkedIn to showcase my expertise in the field. One notable topic I have covered is “The Future of Data Centres with AI,” among others.
