Biography

Ville Wacklin is an expert in the EU-funded Digital Investment Facility (DIF), implemented by HAUS and GIZ, supporting green and secure digital infrastructure development across Africa. Based in Nairobi, he works closely with public and private sector partners to prepare and de-risk investment in data centers and IXPs infrastructure, helping projects move from concept to bankability.

Ville has contributed to projects across Africa, supporting early-stage structuring, ESG integration, and stakeholder alignment. He also hosts the podcast “Why Should We Care About African Data Centers?”, which brings African and global voices into the conversation on sustainable digital infrastructure.
