Biography

As Chief Commercial Officer of Digital Parks Africa, Wiaan Vermaak is responsible for overseeing business development, CRM and service portfolio evolution.

He brings over 30 years of technical and industry-specific expertise gained in service of leading service providers in Africa. Having worked in Morocco, Türkiye, France and East Africa, Wiaan has served in roles including Managing Executive at Cell C and Chief Executive Officer at Afrifiber, the only privately owned FTTX telco operator in the Republic of Djibouti.

He holds professional credentials from the Gordon Institute of Business Science; in Telecom, Policy & Regulation Management from the University of the Witwatersrand; and Executive Development from the University of the Free State.
