Biography

Michelle Jackson is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in the construction industry. Throughout her career, she has held various leadership roles, including Director, team lead, and business unit head. Her expertise lies in construction project management, having successfully managed projects from inception to completion, commissioning, and operation.

Currently, Michelle serves as the Managing Director for WSP Group Africa’s Property and Buildings division, where she leads and oversees the division’s operations. In this role, she leverages her extensive knowledge and experience to drive the success of the organization.

Prior to her current position, Michelle held the role of Project Director for two 10MW Greenfields Data Center projects in Midrand, South Africa, and Lagos, Nigeria. Her responsibilities included overseeing all aspects of the projects, ensuring their timely completion and adherence to quality standards.

From 2016 to 2019, Michelle served as the business unit head of Turner & Townsend’s Energy division in South Africa. In this role, she managed a portfolio of Oil & Gas projects, focusing on delivering targeted revenue and margin. She excelled in business development, handling tender submissions, proposals, cross-sector selling, and key account management. Michelle also played a pivotal role in financial management, compliance, governance, and risk management for all commissions within the Energy Business Unit. Additionally, she was responsible for sourcing, mobilizing, and managing expert project controls resources for Energy projects across Africa.

With her proven track record of leadership and project management excellence, Michelle Jackson continues to make significant contributions to the building services industry. Her wealth of experience and expertise make her a highly sought-after professional in her field.
